Fans of Downton Abbey know the show is more than a historical drama or a soap opera. It’s a masterpiece whose characters are complex and memorable. But how do its characters compare to the cast of characters that are the wild creatures of Canada? Here are our thoughts...

Thomas Barrow is just like a raccoon — causing damage and becoming a nuisance around houses where he takes up residence.

And finally, Robert, Earl of Grantham, is the mighty beaver — with his tireless work to keep his lodge functioning and his strong social and family ties.
