Jackie Bastianon

Jackie Bastianon was the 2018 communications intern for the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) in the Alberta Region. She returned to Carleton University in Ottawa in the fall to complete the final year of her major in journalism and minor in environmental studies. In her spare time, she runs plant-based cooking classes, a YouTube channel and a blog, which she uses to encourage sustainable eating choices. She is very passionate about environmental issues and loves spending time outdoors at her cottage. She enjoyed working for NCC this past summer, having written stories with the goal of compelling people to care as much about the environment as she does.
