Jennifer White
Jennifer White is the New Brunswick & PEI stewardship coordinator with the Nature Conservancy of Canada’s (NCC’s) Atlantic Region. She coordinates the Stewardship program including volunteer management, outreach initiatives, Conservation Volunteers (CV) program as well as additional general stewardship issues that may arise. Jennifer has also recently become involved in the behavioural component of the interdisciplinary field known as human dimensions and is eager to integrate these concepts in an applied way to work with communities in achieving successful collaborative stewardship conservation initiatives.
Prior to joining NCC, Jennifer worked as a presentation program coordinator with a humane and environmental education organization called the Kindness Club Inc. of Fredericton. She has also worked for Ducks Unlimited Canada with the Greenwing Program.
Jennifer graduated from the New Brunswick Community College with a diploma in environmental technology. Later, she attended the University of New Brunswick and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2008. She is currently undertaking a master’s degree in interdisciplinary studies (biology/psychology) with the University of New Brunswick focusing on the study of behavior.
Jennifer presently resides near Fredericton with her husband Jeff, two sons, Jacob and Jesse and three cats, Finn, Toby and Echo. During any spare time, the White family likes to take walks to the river, go camping and head to the beach.
