Lynn Pinnell

Lynn Pinnell is a fourth year student majoring in plant and soil science from the Faculty of Land and Food Systems at the University of British Columbia. She spent the fall of 2017 in Haida Gwaii, BC, studying natural resource science at the Haida Gwaii Higher Education Society field school with a strong emphasis on experiential learning and field skills. This experience helped prepare her for undertaking a directed studies project with the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC).

Working with NCC cemented her dream of doing conservation work. Her passion for ecology and conservation has encouraged her to continue her education at Simon Fraser University/British Columbia Institute of Technology in the master's program in ecological restoration.
