Mahla Nava
Mahla Nava is a summer 2022 GIS intern for the Nature Conservancy of Canada's (NCC's) in Saskatchewan. She is new to Canada since she moved here less than two years ago. She was born and grew up in Iran, a vast country in the Middle East. She has been living in Saskatoon since February 2021. She holds a master’s degree in regional planning from the University of Tehran and is currently a part-time research assistant at the University of Saskatchewan. She used to work as a GIS specialist for more than one year in her home country.
Off the job, Mahla enjoys spending time in nature. She delights in biking, swimming, and playing board games. She is so thrilled that she had this opportunity to be a member of the NCC family this summer.
