Shayne Poleyko

Shayne Poleyko became part of the Nature Conservancy of Canada team in September 2019 as a conservation technician. Growing up in Caledon, Ontario, she has always been surrounded by nature, which inspired her love for the environment. Her passion for the outdoors led her to study environment, resources and sustainability studies at the University of Waterloo.

Shayne loves hands-on field work, and has gained experience through working with the Credit Valley Conservation Authority, working at the ecology lab at her university and being a counsellor for outdoor education camps to help youth get in touch with nature. Shayne is continuing her education at the University of Waterloo.
