Our presenter
Erin Meisner, Certified Financial Planner
For over 22 years Erin Meisner has been guiding and educating individuals, families and business owners on their health needs, retirement and financial affairs. Her expertise includes developing strategic plans for the families she works with to help them grow and preserve their wealth while also redirecting their tax dollars from the Canada Revenue Agency to causes that are deeply meaningful to them.
With an early background in health care services, Erin's unique mix of expertise and ongoing education makes her a strong resource for those who wish to establish their legacy through charitable giving. She holds post graduate certificates in the areas of Elder Planning Counselor®️, Certified Health Insurance Specialist™️, and Master Financial Advisor - Philanthropy (MFA-P™️) and is also in the process of completing her Certified Financial Planner (CFP®️) designation.
Erin has been featured on CTV Ottawa News for her volunteer work with the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation and is the proud past recipient of the Mayor’s Award for Youth Volunteerism from the City of Kingston. In 2023, Erin was also awarded the Women in Capital Markets Emerging Leaders Award and currently serves on the board of the Ottawa Chapter of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners.
Erin is the proud mom of two amazing boys, Jude and Jakob, and three Airedale/Giant Schnauzer pups, who keep her on her toes. She lives just outside of the city of Ottawa in the beautiful small town of Merrickville but, you won’t often find her there as she and her husband, Ted, are happily either rink side or diamond side most evenings and weekends!
