Keltie Manolakas
Keltie Manolakas is the director of conservation engagement for the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) in Alberta. She works across multiple departments seeking out opportunities to use NCC’s work to connect more Canadians to nature and inspire them to make conservation a priority in their lives.
Keltie has an English degree from the University of Western Ontario. She’s a creative, community-minded person, so she’s worn a lot of hats over the years. She’s owned her own business, worked for non-profits, volunteered on many boards and organized community events big and small.
When Keltie’s not at work, she spends her time with her husband and two children. Her family loves to hike, camp and explore outside whenever they can. Despite their collective flaws, humans are one of her favourite species. Her belief in the genuine goodness of most people — their capacity for compassion and understanding, curiosity and ability to adapt, along with their infinite capacity for love and kindness — keep her hopeful for the future.
