Shira Mulloy
Shira Mulloy is the director of conservation for the Nature Conservancy of Canada in Alberta. The Conservation team works together to secure properties with high-conservation value, restore and steward NCC’s fee simple properties, monitor conservation easement properties, and partner with government, Indigenous organizations and other land users to conserve Alberta’s ecologically significant landscapes.
Shira started with NCC in 2021. She has 20 years' experience in environment and energy, including stints as an environmental consultant, a government relations and public policy manager, an environmental management systems and audit professional and a commercial beekeeper. Shira has an environment science degree (Honours) from Queen’s University, with a specialization in biology. She is a member of the professional biologists of Alberta (P. Biol) and has certifications in Risk Management (CRM) and ESG Investing (from CFA Institute).
Shira is grateful to be working with the passionate, talented and fun-loving NCC in Alberta team. She is excited about the growing opportunity to restore and conserve biodiversity for future generations.
