Samantha Ceci is the conservation biologist for the Nature Conservancy of Canada in Nova Scotia. In her role, she conducts field work, curates maps and collaborates on reports used to steward properties throughout the province.
In 2021, Samantha graduated from the Master of Resource and Environmental Management program where she deepened her knowledge on protected areas planning and landscape management.
Samantha is grateful for the opportunity to have previously worked with Eskasoni Fish and Wildlife Commission as their IPCA coordinator to support biocultural diversity initiatives within the Eskasoni Indigenous Protected and Conserved Area (IPCA).
Along with going on hikes with her dog, she enjoys surfing and volunteering at the Nova Scotia Museum of Natural History, where she mounts plant specimens for its herbarium.
