Seedpod Showdown
Get outside and help pull seedpods to vanquish vines at the Camden East Alvar property.
July 25, 2024Odessa, Ontario
Camden East Alvar
9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Pick a peck of problematic pods and help us vanquish a very vicious vine! The vigorously growing invasive dog-strangling vine is creeping its way onto the globally rare habitats of the Camden East Alvar on the Napanee Plain. By picking and bagging the seedpods before they ripen, you can help stop the spread of this vine and protect the beautiful and rare alvar species that are threatened by its expansion. Physical activity will include walking up to 1.5 kilometres on uneven terrain and bending, twisting and pulling.
