Our purpose

The lands and waters we depend on are under increasing pressure. Nature sustains us, strengthens communities and supports our future. Our purpose is to bring people together to protect and care for nature, so people, wildlife and communities can thrive for generations.

Our ambition

The challenges facing nature demand bold action. We bring people together to permanently protect nature at the scale it needs. Our ambition is to mobilize Canadians to accelerate conservation and double our impact by 2030. Together, we will:

  • Advance Canada’s 30×30 goals, supporting the protection of 30% of the country’s lands and waters by 2030.
  • Deliver $1.5 billion in new conservation outcomes, permanently protecting large-scale landscapes that sustain us all.
  • Support Indigenous-led conservation in partnership with Indigenous Nations and communities.
  • Grow a community of 1 million supporters and inspire more people to make nature conservation a priority.

We bring people together to protect nature and build a future where people, wildlife and communities thrive.

Committed to equity, diversity and inclusion

We believe conservation is stronger when people with different backgrounds, identities, lived experiences and perspectives can fully participate. We are committed to creating an equitable and inclusive organization where everyone feels welcomed, respected and able to contribute.

We work to remove barriers, broaden participation and build meaningful relationships with the diverse communities connected to nature across Canada. We hold ourselves accountable, we continue learning and we strive to ensure our work reflects and benefits the people and communities we serve.
