Cow On Grasslands

Alberta

The Nature Conservancy of Canada’s (NCC’s) first project in Alberta began in 1970 with the Wagner Bog — 130 hectares of ecologically significant wetland just outside of Edmonton. Since then, with the support of our partners and donors, we’ve conserved more than 481,000 hectares of Alberta’s most vital natural areas. From the boreal forest of the north to the prairie grasslands of the south, we’re helping Alberta’s iconic landscapes stay beautiful and intact for the benefit of both people and nature.
